Tubod at Cebu South

Exploring the Beauty of Tubod!

Tubod is a visayan and local term for main water source. Few are named and found in Cebu. One concrete example is “tubod” found in Cebu South which is the Tubod Flowing Water Resort. Fortunately I have gone there. It was simply amazing!
Last July 1,2012, we had a planned outing. Chosen place: Tubod Flowing Water Resort in Minglanilla, Cebu because we heard few things about it. They said it was really nice there, with 4 nice swimming pools, nature-inspired ambiance, a one of a kind bird sanctuary, sweet minglanillanons  and above all the beautiful Tubod itself!  And I was not disappointed. I have proven its beauty beyond compare!
Let me share my one of a kind experience to this post!
My phone alarmed. It’s 7am in the morning. I don’t want to open my eyes. It’s still too early to wake up and I only got 5hours of sleep because of a long night-‘til-dawn birthday party. My phone rang. It was a text message from Ana, a college friend. She quoted, “Pag-andam na ui. Hapiton ra ka namo.”(Please prepare your things. We’re going to fetch you). I replied “OK”. It’s 9am, we’re all packed and ready to go.
Two hours of travelling, at last we reached the place! It’s the start of the party! We have taken pictures in the entrance.

I love the large dolphin board. In fact, I asked my friend to take a photo of me swimming with dolphins!

FYI: Resort Entrance was only 100.00 as of this moment. Plenty of pictures were taken afterwards, near the pools, at signboards, at Disney statues, at any angle! We took pictures while walking, chatting, and laughing at each other’s joke. Next thing to do, where will we stay? We decided to be near to fourth pool. The reasons: (1) it’s the only pool allowing t-shirts and shorts (my friends have this badoy style!)(2) Pool’s depth: 5feet only (majority of our heights!). A while after, we changed our clothing and we’re ready to feel the relaxation and contentment nature has offered- it’s time to embrace the inviting water from “tubod”!
Photo shoots again. Beside the pool, while in the water, in the cottage, at the tree house, in the human-sized pitcher, doing some water tricks, taking lunch, snacks and many more!

 Last destination, Bird Sanctuary!Amazing!

My college group was like that. Even a single moment we laughed at, we took picture as remembrance. It was a memorable experience being with them in such a remarkable place, as always!

Time checked, it was 4pm, we started packing our belongings. It’s a long way back home but it’s worth it, we knew!

Lastly, inspired by the quote, “What happened in Tubod stayed in Tubod”, I would make my revised quote and I say “What had happened in Tubod will not only be left in Tubod but will forever be painted in our lovely pictures!” I am Ariesgirl and I thank you! BowJ
